Job summary

One Call in a remote-first setup seeks a Senior Engineering Manager to lead high-performing teams delivering scalable software that meets SOC2/HIPAA requirements. You will drive DevOps, Agile, and modern architectures across globally distributed engineers, collaborating with product and design to translate vision into roadmaps and technical strategies.

The role oversees 10-15 engineers across 1-2 product areas, focusing on platform modernization and offshore collaboration to deliver impactful

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of engineering leadership experience.
• Experience leading teams in cloud-native environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with remote-first and globally distributed teams.
• Track record delivering enterprise-grade software in regulated environments (SOC2, HIPAA).

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple engineering teams delivering scalable, secure, and high-quality software products.
• Drive adoption of Agile, DevOps, CI/CD and test automation.
• Partner with Product, Design, and Architecture to define roadmaps with speed and quality.
• Ensure teams align with business outcomes and measure KPIs like velocity and availability.
• Build a high-talent culture with hiring, coaching, and career development.
• Champion code quality, observability, and continuous improvement.
• Manage offshore teams and ensure delivery standards.
• Own operational health including uptime and incident response.
• Drive platform modernization and automation initiatives.
• Collaborate across engineering, product, and business teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Manage resource allocation and capacity planning.
