Job summary

Exelon is seeking an engineer to independently perform technical tasks across planning, design, construction, and maintenance of utility infrastructure including electric transmission and distribution. The role involves studies, calculations, permitting, and performance evaluations to ensure safety and reliability, with potential storm coverage.

Responsibilities include data collection, complex analysis, presenting recommendations, and supporting budgeting and integrated system planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering is required.
• 2-4 years of professional engineering experience.
• Ability to analyze and interpret complex electrical and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of engineering designs, principles and practices.
• Familiarity with regulations, guides, standards and codes relevant to the discipline.

Responsibilities

• Performs engineering assignments with independent discretion under guidance of an experienced engineer (70%).
• Handles large or multiple projects; analyzes power flows and performs complex tests (10%).
• Directs engineering tasks for large projects as needed (10%).
• Evaluates effectiveness of technical systems; participates on cross‑functional teams (10%).
