Job summary

The role requires mentoring junior staff, coordinating with multiple departments and external contractors, and delivering cost-benefit analyses. Extended hours may be needed during storms or energy emergencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field and 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Ability to analyze and interpret electrical and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge and ability to apply problem-solving approaches.
• Knowledge of construction, operations or engineering principles and practices.
• Knowledge of complex field test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Leads and performs engineering assignments on critical projects and may manage teams of employees or contractors.
• Evaluates projects with significant financial and operational impact.
• Provides expert input and may deliver training or mentoring.
• Coordinates with external contractors and manages documentation and cost-benefit analyses.
• Supports design reviews and validates engineering calculations; may lead storm-related work.
