Job summary

American Battery Solutions Inc. is seeking a Chief Engineer to serve as the senior engineering leader for high-voltage battery-pack programs.

You will guide the technical direction, manage risks, and ensure a safe, reliable, and producible product from concept to lifecycle support. You will lead a cross-functional team across Pack Electro-Mechanical, Systems, BMS, Validation, and Quality, driving readiness reviews and rigorous issue resolution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Systems Engineering or related Engineering discipline.
• Minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible engineering experience with leadership of complex electro-mechanical products or systems through development and production launch.
• Demonstrated experience with high-voltage battery systems, electrified powertrain systems, energy-storage systems, or comparable safety-critical products.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional engineering teams and deliver products from concept through production.
• Strong knowledge across battery-pack system disciplines (electrical, mechanical, thermal, BMS hardware/software, controls, diagnostics).
• Ability to make sound technical decisions and resolve issues involving safety, performance, reliability, cost, timing, manufacturability, and serviceability.
• Experience with APQP, PPAP, DFMEA, DVP&R, change management, and root-cause analysis.
• Delegates effectively to maximize strategic thinking; provides guidelines, monitors, and resources.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for technical delivery from RFQ to production, ensuring a mature, production-ready product at each gate.
• Act as accountable technical decision-maker; document and resolve significant tradeoffs, risks, and decisions.
• Lead cross-functional engineering team including Pack Electromechanical, Systems, BMS hardware/software, Validation, QA, and Service groups.
