Job summary

American Battery Solutions Inc. in Lake Orion, MI seeks a Chief Engineer to act as the senior engineering leader and technical authority for high-voltage battery-pack programs. Responsible for technical integrity, readiness, and successful delivery from pursuit through lifecycle support.

The role leads the cross-functional team, defines technical direction, and ensures safety, reliability, manufacturability, and timely customer commitments. Strong leadership and decision-making are essential.

Qualifications

Requires Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Systems Engineering.
Minimum seven years of engineering experience with leadership of complex electro-mechanical products.
Experience with high-voltage battery systems or energy-storage products.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional engineering teams and deliver products from concept to production.

Responsibilities

Accountable for technical delivery of programs from RFQ to production, ensuring production-ready product at each gate.
Serve as accountable technical decision-maker and document risks, decisions, and tradeoffs.
Lead cross-functional engineering team across Pack E-M, Systems, BMS hardware/software, Validation, QA, and Service & Aftermarket.
