Job summary

Gotion Inc. seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer – Battery Systems to lead the development of high‑voltage battery packs, driving safety, performance and reliability for next‑gen EVs.

You will design enclosures, create 2D/3D CAD models in CATIA, perform DFMEA and PFMEA, develop packaging studies, coordinate prototypes, and collaborate with CAE, testing, supply chain and QA to meet targets.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in HV battery design or automotive product design.
• Experience with DFMEA/PFMEA and design for manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of materials and joining techniques.
• Excellent communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to lead multiple projects and manage timelines.
• Adherence to company Code of Conduct.

Responsibilities

• Design and release mechanical components of HV battery packs (enclosures, mounting structures, vehicle interfaces).
• Create 2D/3D CAD drawings of assemblies and components (wire harnesses, brackets).
• Develop GD&T compliant models for parts/assemblies.
• Work on concept development, feasibility and packaging studies.
• Conduct DFMEA/PFMEA to identify failure modes and drive improvements.
• Collaborate with CAE and testing to meet targets.
• Coordinate prototype development, assembly and delivery.
• Support cross‑functional initiatives and supply chain quality activities.
• Perform additional engineering tasks as assigned.
