Job summary

United Grid Solutions is seeking an experienced engineer at the fourth level of the Engineering classification to provide technical leadership and independent problem solving in our utility projects in New Jersey.

We value advanced engineering expertise, professional licensure, and the ability to mentor others while delivering thorough reports, estimates, and schedules for complex initiatives in a collaborative, client-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 8 to 12 years’ experience as a practicing engineer or equivalent.
• State registration as a Professional Engineer.
• Skilled in engineering theories and principles.
• Experience in researching engineering and design issues, evaluating alternatives, making sound recommendations, and presenting them.
• Ability to work with diverse teams and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• coaches and mentors other Engineering professionals
• reviews work of subordinate Engineering professionals
• provide engineering/technical expertise and guidance in problem identification, analysis and resolution
• plan, organize, estimate, schedule, and monitor work activities
• produce thorough technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations, and sketches
• pursue continuous improvement of knowledge, skills, and performance
• communicate clearly both orally and in writing
• maintain accurate records and files
