Job summary

Fluence Energy is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to support the EMEA sales team by translating customer requirements into optimized energy storage solutions and compelling technical proposals.

The role requires deep technical expertise, strong customer engagement, and experience with offer management and contract review, with travel across the region to engage with customers and partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of two years of relevant professional experience within the power industry.
• Strong ability to analyze and solve complex technical challenges while communicating solutions clearly.
• Experience with offer management and/or technical contract review.
• Experience with CRM platforms and engineering tools such as Salesforce and CAD.
• Proven experience in energy storage, solar, power generation, or industrial balance of plant environments.
• Understanding of local standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple parallel activities.
• Strong coordination, collaboration, and communication skills.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Partner with EMEA Sales teams to transform customer requirements into optimized energy storage solution proposals.
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor and provide product configuration guidance to Sales teams.
• Contribute to sales tools and materials to drive business success.
• Lead evaluation of installation contractor proposals for turnkey delivery.
• Collaborate with Sales to negotiate technical aspects of customer contracts.
• Translate customer requirements into insights to shape product roadmaps.
• Support system designs that meet local codes and regulatory requirements.
• Identify technical deviations and work with teams to resolve them.
• Travel throughout EMEA to engage with customers, partners, and stakeholders.
