Job summary

Fluence is seeking a Portfolio Finance Manager to oversee the financial performance of a portfolio of BESS projects in the Americas. You will drive accounting compliance, manage contract terms, and maintain internal controls across complex EPC and supply agreements.

The role requires interfacing with project managers, customers, and suppliers to ensure accurate forecasts, timely reporting, and optimal project outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of financially managing large projects, preferably in energy
• Advanced understanding of project accounting methods and POC revenue recognition
• Advanced knowledge of project lifecycle and commercial contract terms
• Experience negotiating with customers and suppliers; risk management focus

Responsibilities

• Be financially responsible for a portfolio of projects in the Americas region
• Provide timely transparency around project performance vs budget and monthly Estimates at Completion for Revenue, Cost, and Margin
• Ensure adherence to accounting guidelines and commercial terms
• Manage change orders, supplier claims, and contract penalties to protect project timelines and margins
• Organize project reviews and report non-conformance costs to identify improvements
