Job summary

Eos Energy Enterprises is seeking an Applications Engineer to translate customer requirements into technical proposals for energy storage systems. You will evaluate customer needs, market dynamics, and use cases to align EOS value propositions with third-party equipment, enabling effective BESS deployment strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience in energy storage or related electrical infrastructure.
• Full storage system design, implementation, construction and commissioning preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer requirements and develop tailored energy infrastructure solutions encompassing all key system components, including batteries, BMS, inverters, transformers, protection systems, EMS and SCADA.
• Provide technical solutions and market knowledge across utility-scale, commercial and industrial, telecoms, and utility markets.
• Articulate EOS benefits of a safe, low-cost, long-lasting energy storage solution for customer requirements including peak shifting/shaving, dispatch, ancillary services, micro-grid systems and renewable firming/smoothing.
• Partner with Sales and internal teams to prepare technical responses to RFQ/RFPs.
• Ensure a successful handover of customer orders to project management.
• Monitor industry trends and competitive developments in the energy storage market.
