Job summary

TotalEnergies is seeking a Senior Business Development Associate for the Storage BESS segment in the United States. You will originate, evaluate, and advance standalone and solar-plus-storage opportunities, shaping commercial value propositions and guiding development through internal approvals.

You will partner with Finance, Engineering, Legal, and Asset Management to translate market inputs into actionable recommendations, supporting project execution and governance processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, finance, economics, business, energy systems, or related field.
• 2–4 years of relevant energy storage or project development experience.
• Strong understanding of electricity markets and storage drivers.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills with scenario analysis.
• Proven ability to translate analyses into actionable business cases.

Responsibilities

• Lead initial screening, qualification, and prioritization of standalone BESS and solar‑plus storage opportunities.
• Develop customer‑facing proposals, commercial narratives, and value propositions tailored to markets.
• Support negotiation of term sheets, customer contracts, partnerships, and development arrangements.
• Coordinate internal stakeholders to advance opportunities through milestones.
• Maintain pipeline visibility and recommend actions to improve conversion and fit.
• Analyze wholesale and retail market opportunities across major U.S. ISO/RTO regions.
• Evaluate new value streams and present to stakeholders on solutions and market plans.
• Build and review project financial models and commercial analyses for BESS opportunities.
