Job summary

POLITICO is hiring a Senior Account Executive in Arlington, VA to grow our Energy & Environment subscription offering. You’ll lead strategic engagements with senior executives, demo POLITICO Pro energy products, and manage a 20–30 deal pipeline through the full sales cycle.

You will partner with product and strategy teams to translate market needs into actionable opportunities, attend key energy events, and mentor junior sales staff.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in sales, preferably SaaS or subscription services.
• BA/BS preferred.
• Experience with Salesforce or other CRMs to manage pipeline.
• Proven success in hitting revenue targets and quotas.
• Commercial skills, business acumen, and executive presence.

Responsibilities

• Grow subscription business by evaluating prospects and conducting product demos with senior executives in energy.
• Position POLITICO Pro energy products using consultative sales methodology.
• Manage a 20–30 opportunity pipeline through full sales cycle and close.
• Collaborate with Energy product/strategy teams to translate insights into recommendations.
• Attend energy industry events to build client relationships for POLITICO Pro.
• Provide outstanding service and client experience throughout evaluation.
