Guidehouse's Energy Markets & Systems Integrated Modeling Team develops and maintains quantitative market models used by clients to forecast energy prices, assess investments, and improve grid reliability across North America.

The role involves supporting large client engagements, analyzing energy market trends, translating inquiries into actionable scopes, and building tools to enhance productivity and accuracy. Travel up to 25% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or higher in business/economics/engineering with relevant experience.
• Experience with economic dispatch models (Aurora, Origin, PLEXOS, BID3, PSO).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Support large client engagements and analyze energy market trends.
• Translate client inquiries into actionable scopes.
• Develop and use analytical models and simulations to forecast prices.
• Review model outputs and manage data and reports.
• Contribute to the Reference Case development.
• Travel up to 25%.
