Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a senior Energy Markets & Systems Integrated Modeling expert to lead large, complex client engagements across North America. You will develop and maintain quantitative market models, forecast energy market conditions, and identify opportunities for renewables, storage, and decarbonization initiatives.

You will supervise staff, mentor junior consultants, and translate client needs into actionable scopes of work while collaborating with a close-knit team to deliver results in

Qualifications

• US citizen or US Permanent Resident due to client engagements.
• 5+ years post-graduation experience in related field; or Master’s with 3+ years.
• Experience with economic dispatch models such as Aurora, Origin, PLEXOS, BID3, or PSO.
• Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with data analytics, data modeling and visualization.
• Proactive and independent work style.

Responsibilities

• Originate, close, lead large and complex client engagements.
• Manage staff and assist in related business development efforts.
• Track and analyze energy market trends.
• Translate clients' inquiries and challenges into actionable scopes of work.
• Compile reports, presentations, and other documents to communicate solutions and analyses to clients.
• Support the day-to-day management of client relationships.
• Develop and use analytical models, programming, and simulations to forecast market prices, conduct research and development, and create tools to improve productivity and accuracy.
• Reviewing and approving model outputs via data collection, manipulation, and analyses.
