Job summary

Guidehouse in New York is seeking a Senior Consultant to support the Energy Markets & Systems Integrated Modeling Team in delivering grid-scale renewables, storage, and green fuels projects. You will build and use quantitative market models to forecast prices and identify opportunities for clients and utilities.

You will translate inquiries into actionable scopes of work, collaborate with a cross-functional team, and present results to stakeholders, with up to 25% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, energy finance, or engineering with 3+ years of post-graduation experience.
• Master’s degree in the same fields with 2+ years of post-graduation experience.
• Experience with economic dispatch models such as Aurora, Origin, PLEXOS, BID3, or PSO.
• Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Support large and complex client engagements.
• Track and analyze energy market trends.
• Translate clients' inquiries into actionable scopes of work.
• Compile reports, presentations, and documents for clients.
• Develop and use analytical models, programming, and simulations to forecast prices and create tools.
• Review and approve model outputs via data collection and analyses.
