Job summary

Guidehouse Inc. is seeking a Senior Consultant to support large energy markets engagements and develop quantitative market models for grid planning and energy procurement. The role emphasizes economic dispatch, capacity expansion insights, and risk assessment across North America.

You will analyze trends, translate client needs into work scopes, and communicate results through reports and presentations. Travel up to 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, energy finance, or engineering and 3+ years of post‑graduation experience OR Master’s degree with 2+ years of experience.
• Post graduation experience with economic dispatch models such as Aurora, Origin, PLEXOS, BID3, or PSO.
• Outstanding analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience with data analytics, data modeling and visualization.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support large and complex client engagements.
• Track and analyze energy market trends.
• Translate client inquiries into actionable scopes of work.
• Compile reports and presentations communicating solutions and analyses.
• Develop and use analytical models, programming, and simulations to forecast market prices and create tools.
• Review model outputs and manage data and spreadsheets.
