Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Managing Consultant to lead energy markets engagements, focusing on North American ISO/RTO markets, renewables, storage, and green fuels. You will supervise client engagements, mentor staff, and develop analytical tools to forecast market conditions and advise on investment decisions.

The role requires deep market knowledge, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to travel up to 25% and collaborate across Guidehouse offices and client sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a business, economics, energy finance, or engineering discipline with 5+ years experience, or a Master’s with 3+ years.
• Post graduate experience with economic dispatch models such as Aurora, Origin, PLEXOS, BID3, or PSO.
• Outstanding analytical and problem solving skills.
• Experienced with data analytics, data modeling and visualization.
• Ability to travel and work in Guidehouse offices or client offices.

Responsibilities

• Originate, close and lead large, complex client engagements.
• Manage staff and assist in business development efforts.
• Analyze energy market trends and translate inquiries into scope of work.
• Develop reports and communicate solutions to clients.
• Mentor junior consultants on energy markets and client management.
• Develop analytical models, programming and simulations to forecast market prices.
