Job summary

Guidehouse seeks a Managing Consultant in the Energy Markets & Systems Integrated Modeling team to lead large client engagements, mentor staff, and develop analytical market models for North American power markets. You will analyze trends, translate client needs into scopes, and communicate findings through reports and presentations.

Candidates should have 5+ years post-graduate experience (or 3+ with a Master’s) and strong experience with dispatch models, data analytics, and client management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, energy finance, or engineering and 5+ years post-graduation experience
• Or Master’s degree in business, economics, energy finance, or engineering and 3+ years post-graduation experience
• Post graduation work experience with economic dispatch models such as Aurora, Origin, PLEXOS, BID3, or PSO
• Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Originating, closing, leading large and complex client engagements.
• Managing staff and assisting in related business development efforts.
• Tracking and analyzing energy market trends.
• Translating clients' inquiries and challenges into actionable scopes of work.
• Compiling reports, presentations, and other documents to communicate solutions.
• Supporting the day-to-day management of client relationships.
• Developing and using analytical models, programming, and simulations to forecast market prices and create tools.
• Reviewing and approving model outputs via data collection, manipulation, and analyses.
