Job summary

Guidehouse’s Energy Markets & Systems Integrated Modeling Team supports developers, operators and sponsors in bringing grid-scale renewables, storage and green fuels resources to market. The Managing Consultant role leads large engagements, develops analytical models, and guides clients through market-based decisions across North America.

You will mentor staff, translate client needs into actionable scopes, and collaborate across teams to improve accuracy and productivity.

Qualifications

• US citizen or US permanent resident required.
• 5+ years post-graduate experience in consulting, strategy, or project development.
• Experience with economic dispatch models (Aurora, Origin, PLEXOS, BID3, PSO).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.
• Ability to work in Guidehouse offices or client locations.
• Residence in the contiguous United States.

Responsibilities

• Originate, close, and lead large, complex client engagements.
• Mentor junior consultants and contribute to business development.
• Develop and use analytical models to forecast market prices.
• Review model outputs and ensure data integrity.
