Job summary

Meta is seeking an experienced Energy Manager to support the development of cost-effective energy solutions for its growing data center fleet. You will help shape energy infrastructure strategies across site selection, construction, and operations, negotiating with utilities and coordinating with internal partners to ensure timely, cost-efficient delivery.

The role requires deep knowledge of energy interconnection processes, strong project management, and the ability to travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a related field.
• 12+ years of relevant work experience in energy, utilities, or energy-intensive sectors.
• Knowledge of transmission, distribution, and interconnection processes.
• Experience managing complex, large-scale projects.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Experience communicating project status, risks, and recommendations to diverse stakeholders.
• Intermediate Excel and PowerPoint and/or Keynote skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the creation and execution of energy infrastructure strategies for data centers.
• Establish and communicate energy requirements to stakeholders.
• Lead negotiations for energy infrastructure agreements and present recommendations to leadership.
• Manage due diligence, site development, construction, and commercial agreements.
• Coordinate with utility partners, internal teams, and consultants.
• Analyze capacity planning scenarios to maximize options and balance business needs.
• Deliver new commercial agreements enabling capacity and flexibility.
• Build relationships with site selection, engineering, design, construction, operations, legal, and finance teams.
• Identify process improvements to save time and costs in project delivery.
• Lead ad-hoc energy initiatives and manage evolving requirements within the data center development process.
