Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Licensing Engineer Energy – Remote, based in Oak Ridge, TN. You will lead the development and integration of 10 CFR Part 70 license applications for fuel cycle facilities, set regulatory strategy, and provide technical direction.

You will oversee cross-functional teams, maintain the commitments framework, and interact with the NRC to defend licensing positions. This role requires strong regulatory knowledge and leadership in a remote setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear/ Chemical/ Mechanical Engineering or Health Physics; Master’s preferred.
• Requires 7 years of nuclear licensing and regulatory experience.
• Experience leading license applications and working with NRC or other authorities.

Responsibilities

• Leads development and integration of 10 CFR Part 70 license applications for fuel-cycle facilities.
• Sets regulatory approach and ensures quality across applications.
• Provides technical direction to licensing engineers and interfaces with NRC.
• Maintains commitments framework and traceability to regulatory bases.
• Reviews content for regulatory adequacy and resolves conflicts; supports NRC responses.
