Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Nuclear Engineer Energy – Remote, based out of Oak Ridge, TN. You will lead licensing activities, perform safety analyses, and coordinate cross-disciplinary teams in SMR-focused projects.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in nuclear engineering, with strong regulatory knowledge and hands-on use of MCNP/SCALE/Attila4MC for neutronics and shielding analyses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Engineering; advanced degrees preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of nuclear engineering experience for senior role.
• Experience in licensing, safety analyses, and regulatory interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate nuclear safety licensing activities.
• Author review and approve safety analyses and reports.
• Support safety basis documents and licensing initiatives.
• Oversee hazard analyses, design reviews, and configuration management.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and external interfaces.
