Job summary

MD Energy Advisors seeks a Senior Energy Engineer to lead engineering across Higher Education and Federal energy portfolios. This senior role operates across engineering, program delivery, and strategic advisory, partnering with Strategic Projects, Commercial Solutions, and Utility Solutions to develop and execute energy initiatives.

The ideal candidate has a strong HVAC design and energy modeling background, knowledge of energy-saving technologies, and a track record translating engineering

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in HVAC design and energy modeling.
• Knowledge of central plant systems and building plans.
• Familiarity with applicable building codes as necessary.
• Proven ability to perform energy reductions analyses and calculations.
• Strong quantitative analysis and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform onsite assessments to identify energy saving opportunities.
• Analyze building systems to determine energy usage and efficiency.
• Develop engineering solutions for energy savings opportunities.
• Stay current with new developments in energy strategy and controls.
• Lead and direct the engineering team and coordinate with external engineers and vendors.
• Plan and deliver presentations for clients and stakeholders.
• Review energy savings calculations and ROI analyses.
