Job summary

Energy Sciences seeks a seasoned energy engineering professional to design and implement energy efficiency programs for commercial and industrial clients. You will analyze energy usage, review assessments, and collaborate on projects, providing technical guidance while traveling to sites as needed.

Ideal candidates have a mechanical engineering background, 7+ years of relevant experience, and strong Excel and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field with 7+ years of professional experience.
• Non-degreed with 10+ years in energy assessments/retro-commissioning.
• 5+ years focused on energy engineering, consulting, or building systems performance.
• Experience with utility energy efficiency programs and commissioning processes.
• Knowledge of HVAC, lighting, pumps, and industrial systems.
• Decarbonization knowledge and advanced Excel skills.
• Certifications such as CEM/CEA/CMVP/EBCP/PE preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and quantify energy efficiency opportunities.
• Perform energy and economic analyses and prepare reports.
• Review assessments and calculations and present findings.
• Collaborate with customers and develop projects.
• Conduct site surveys and facilities assessments.
• Mentor team members and support knowledge sharing.
• Travel to customer sites up to 25% of the time.
