Job summary

MD Energy Advisors is seeking a Senior Energy Engineer to lead technical work across higher education and federal energy portfolios. You will partner with leaders across the organization to develop and execute energy strategies, and advance decarbonization and modernization initiatives.

The role requires a strong background in building systems, energy engineering, and energy modeling, with the ability to translate engineering insights into actionable programs while collaborating with utilities,

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years of experience in HVAC design and energy modeling.
Strong knowledge of large buildings and mechanical/electrical systems.
Experience with energy reduction concepts and calculations.
Ability to present analysis clearly and work across teams.

Responsibilities

Perform onsite assessments to identify energy saving opportunities.
Analyze building systems and data to determine energy usage and efficiency.
Develop engineering solutions addressing current issues and savings opportunities.
Lead engineering team tasks and coordinate with subcontractors to finalize designs.
Review energy savings calculations and ROI analyses.
Plan and deliver presentations for trade allies and customers.
