Job summary

You will analyze utility data, develop energy balances, and prepare business cases for capital projects, while mentoring junior staff. Travel up to 20% is expected, with a hybrid work setup in Chicago.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in energy engineering, sustainability consulting, or industrial energy management.
• Experience conducting industrial energy audits and identifying efficiency opportunities.
• Strong understanding of energy conservation measures, decarbonization, and climate strategy development.
• Familiarity with Measurement & Verification principles and IPMVP.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed energy audits and site assessments within industrial and manufacturing environments.
• Analyze utility consumption data and performance metrics to identify energy-saving opportunities.
• Develop energy balances, consumption calculations, and technical evaluations.
• Prepare financial analyses and high-level business cases for capital improvement projects.
• Identify operational inefficiencies, performance gaps, and unusual energy usage trends.
• Present findings, recommendations, and project outcomes to client stakeholders and leadership teams.
• Mentor junior team members through knowledge sharing and professional development.
