Job summary

Energy Sciences is seeking a dedicated energy-efficiency consultant to help institutional clients reduce energy use and operating costs. The role supports ASHRAE I/II assessments, develops implementable projects, and delivers on-site services across a range of buildings.

The position involves a home-based office in Southern/Central Illinois with travel up to 75% to client sites. Strong communication and project management skills are essential for success in a fast-paced consulting environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of energy efficiency experience.
• Experience conducting ASHRAE energy assessments.
• Proficiency with MS Office and SharePoint reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects in a fast-paced consulting environment.
• Conduct energy assessments (ASHRAE level I and II), including identification of energy conservation measures.
• Engage with customers and service providers on-site during assessments.
• Provide management, direction and accountability on assigned projects to ensure progress and timely, high-quality deliverables.
• Calculate energy savings for various system or equipment changes using tools and methodologies.
• Draft final reports to program stakeholders on time.
