Job summary

Jackson Lewis P.C. is seeking an Associate attorney for its Silicon Valley, CA office. The role focuses on defending and litigating a broad range of employment-related claims, advising employers, and providing training on labor law issues. California Bar admission and a strong employment law background are required, with PAGA experience a plus.

Qualifications

JD from ABA accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
7–9 years of experience; employment law background strongly preferred.
Current CA Bar admission in good standing.
Understanding of current agency (state and federal) procedures.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills.
Commitment to professionalism, collegiality, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

Defend and litigate lawsuits involving a broad range of employment-related claims and agency charges.
Advise, counsel, and train employers on various employment and labor law issues.
Class Action/PAGA experience preferred but not required.
Represent employers in court or arbitration, before administrative agencies, and at mediations in employment matters, including class/collective actions and discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, contract, employment tort, and non-compete cases.
