Job summary

Jackson Lewis P.C. is seeking an associate attorney for its Sacramento, CA office. The attorney will defend and litigate a broad range of employment-related claims, advise employers on employment and labor law issues, and represent clients in court, arbitration, and before agencies.

CA Bar is required and 4–6 years of experience is preferred. The firm offers a comprehensive benefits package and a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• JD from ABA accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
• 4–6 years of employment law experience preferred.
• Current CA Bar admission in good standing.
• Understanding of state and federal agency procedures.
• Excellent written and oral communication, attention to detail, and multitasking ability.
• Strong organizational, time management and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Defend and litigate lawsuits involving a broad range of employment-related claims and agency charges.
• Advise, counsel, and train employers on employment and labor law issues.
• Represent employers in court or arbitration, and before administrative agencies and mediations.
• Handle class/collective actions, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage-hour, contracts and non-compete matters.

The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
