Job summary

Joby seeks a Senior Employee Relations Partner to serve as an onsite People Team expert in Dayton, Ohio. You will proactively manage employee relations, investigations, and coaching for managers, partnering closely with leadership on HR initiatives.

You will guide conflict resolution, investigations, and performance management while supporting onboarding, recruitment, and policy development. This full-time onsite role may involve up to 10% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years of progressive HR experience with a focus on employee relations and conflict management.
• Thorough understanding of core HR principles, concepts, practices, and Ohio labor laws.
• Consultative HR experience with autonomous problem-solving.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and coaching abilities.
• Excellent planning, organizational, and time-management skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with team members to promote positive employee relations and engagement.
• Partner with General Manager and leaders on strategic HR initiatives.
• Manage, investigate, and resolve employee relations issues with thorough documentation and policy alignment.
• Guide conflict resolution, corrective actions, and performance management processes.
• Lead development and updates of HR policies, procedures, and events.
• Serve as onsite HR expert on local workforce guidelines and Ohio labor regulations.
• Support onboarding, recruitment activities, onsite interviews, and site tours.
• Assist with compensation, benefits, leave administration, and special projects as needed.
