The role centers on strategic regulatory and compliance consulting for qualified and nonqualified employee benefit plans, including plan documents, disclosures, and correction programs with IRS and DOL oversight.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in business, law, or related field.
• Ten+ years of experience in Employee Benefit Plans.
• Deep knowledge of ERISA, Internal Revenue Code, and Treasury regulations governing qualified plans.
• Experience in law firm, consulting firm, or corporate legal department.
• Experience in public speaking.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Draft and review plan documents and participant disclosures.
• Advise on nonqualified deferred compensation and health & welfare compliance matters.
• Support correction of plan failures through IRS and DOL programs.
• Conduct legal and regulatory research on complex benefits-related questions.
• Oversee Employee Benefits Compliance team and Research group.
