Job summary

OnHires is seeking a senior, hands-on EMI accounting professional to own four entities across EU/UK and the US/Canada. You will build EMI accounting from scratch for new licences, manage end-to-end regulatory returns, safeguarding, and multi-currency consolidation in Xero and ERP tools.

You will work as an individual contributor in a small team, report to the Accounting and Financial Reporting Lead, and have responsibility for month-end close, intercompany reconciliation, tax calendars, and

Qualifications

• Hands-on EMI accounting experience in EU/UK.
• Owned EMI regulatory returns end to end.
• Experience producing own-funds or capital inputs for EMI.
• 5+ years in-house accounting with ledger ownership.
• Knowledge of IFRS/UK GAAP and US GAAP basics.
• Multi-entity, multi-currency accounting including intercompany.
• Strong balance-sheet ownership and reconciliations.
• Experience reconciling high-volume payments to GL.

Responsibilities

• Entity accounting for four fiat entities in Xero (multi-currency).
• Set up new entities: COA, bank mapping, close calendar, tax calendars.
• EMI accounting and reporting for safeguarding, inputs for own-funds and regulatory returns.
• Month-end close across all entities and intercompany reconciliation.
• Consolidation inputs, audit schedules, and group reporting.
