Job summary

Oyster, a global employment platform, seeks an accomplished accountant to own day-to-day accounting, monthly reporting, and ERP activities for entities with a focus on EMEA. You will manage full cycle accounting, intercompany transactions, and prepare financial statements across multiple entities.

You'll lead month-end and year-end closes, coordinate local statutory filings and audits, and collaborate with Finance, Payroll, Tax, Legal, and external partners.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of accounting experience, including 1 year in a senior-accountant scope.
• CPA or part-qualified or equivalent professional qualification.
• Strong knowledge of multi-entity accounting, intercompany transactions, financial reporting, reconciliations, close, and audit support.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and large dataset handling.
• Meticulous attention to detail and evidence-based problem solving.
• Strong written and spoken English with effective asynchronous stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Manage full cycle accounting and intercompany transactions for global subsidiaries
• Prepare and review financial statements and balance-sheet reconciliations across multiple entities
• Lead month-end and year-end close activities with clear checklists and documentation
• Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual local statutory filings and provide support packages
• Oversee local statutory audits and respond to auditor questions and adjustments
• Proactively coordinate dependencies across Finance, Payroll, Tax, Legal, and external partners
