Job summary

Cities, Inc. is seeking a Dispatcher to answer both emergency and non-emergency calls and to dispatch appropriate personnel. You will access FCIC/NCIC databases and provide information to field personnel, while maintaining certifications and logs of all activity.

The role requires knowledge of emergency communications, dispatch policies, and radio/telecom equipment, plus strong computer and written communication skills. Office environment and on-call duties may apply.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of emergency communications principles and FCIC/NCIC policies.
• Knowledge of emergency dispatch policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of radio and telecommunications equipment.
• Skill in the use of computers and job-related software programs.
• Skill in planning, organizing, analyzing, decision making, and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Answer emergency and non-emergency calls and dispatch appropriate personnel.
• Access FCIC/NCIC databases and provide information to field personnel.
• Maintain and update FCIC/NCIC databases and certification.
• Relate instructions and questions between Police, Fire, and EMS personnel.
• Maintain logs of calls and dispatches.
