Job summary

Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing North America, Inc. in the United States is seeking an Engineer for Automated & Electronics Design to develop and validate embedded software and vehicle system solutions for ADAS and automated driving technologies.

You will work with global teams, suppliers, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver high-quality software and system solutions that enable next-generation vehicle capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field.
• 3+ years developing embedded software for vehicle systems.
• 3+ years in ADAS/automated driving or connected vehicle tech.
• Experience with C/C++, Python, MATLAB or Simulink.
• Experience with requirements mgmt tools (DOORS, Polarion, Jama).
• Knowledge of automotive networks CAN/CAN FD/Ethernet.
• Model-based development and SB/V&V for embedded vehicle systems.
• Awareness of ASPICE, MISRA, ISO 26262 standards.
• Strong collaboration across global teams and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate, test, and validate embedded software for vehicle systems.
• Support ADAS, automated driving, and connected vehicle features.
• Manage, decompose, trace, and verify system and software requirements.
• Perform software integration, debugging, root-cause analysis, and fixes.
• Collaborate with global engineering teams, suppliers, and cross-functional partners.
• Support vehicle integration, validation, and launch activities.
• Contribute to development standards, reviews, and best practices.
• Travel domestically and internationally as needed.
