Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking an Automotive Embedded Systems Engineer to support software integration and validation for ADAS and Active Safety across multiple vehicle platforms. You will work with ECUs, sensors, and networks, diagnosing issues and guiding corrective actions.

The role emphasizes collaboration with global engineering teams, robust debugging, and detailed documentation across development, validation, and launch phases. A bachelor’s degree and 2+ years in the field are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in automotive embedded systems, vehicle electronics, software integration, system validation, or ADAS development.
• Strong understanding of vehicle communication networks including CAN, Ethernet, LIN, and UDS diagnostics.
• Experience using CANoe, CANalyzer, Vehicle Spy, Wireshark, or similar analysis tools.
• Experience with software configuration management, software baselines, and release processes.
• Working knowledge of C/C++ and Python.
• Experience with JIRA or similar defect management tools.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Support software integration, baseline deployment, and validation activities for ADAS and Active Safety systems.
• Integrate and verify software across multiple ECUs, sensors, cameras, and vehicle variants.
• Perform vehicle-level diagnostics, CAN analysis, and log investigations to identify root causes of system issues.
• Support validation of features such as ACC, AEB, Lane Keeping Assistance, Lane Centering, and other driver assistance functions.
• Investigate sensor, radar, camera, network communication, and software interaction issues affecting ADAS performance.
• Evaluate the impact of sensor packaging, mounting locations, calibration requirements, environmental influences, and vehicle architecture on system performance.
• Support software release management, variant management, feature enablement, and software configuration activities across multiple vehicle platforms and product classes.
• Collaborate with global engineering teams to resolve software defects, integration issues, and launch blockers.
• Support issue management through defect tracking systems and provide technical recommendations for corrective actions.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, software baseline records, software BOMs, variant documentation, integration guides, and validation reports.
• Support vehicle integration activities throughout development, validation, launch, and continuous improvement phases.
