Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC in Redmond, WA is seeking a software engineer for the Leo Customer Terminal embedded systems team. You will design, implement and deploy embedded software for Leo Customer Terminal devices, collaborating with hardware, software, and operations teams.

You will work across the full SDLC, use languages such as C++, Rust, and Go, and contribute to secure compute environments, testing, debugging, and production support.

Qualifications

• 7+ years professional software development experience
• 7+ years of programming in at least one language
• 7+ years leading design or architecture of systems
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team

Responsibilities

• Development and testing with embedded Linux
• Develop embedded software functions for Customer Terminal devices within the Project Leo system
• Developing embedded software utilizing Rust, C++, C
• Participate in all phases of SDLC: requirements, design, coding, test, deployment and production system
• Development of software in a secure compute environment
• State machine design and analysis
• Support Customer Terminal deployments operations and debugging on production systems
• Technical writing of design specifications
