Job summary

Amazon is seeking a skilled embedded software engineer to contribute across the full software lifecycle for the Amazon Leo satellite network in Redmond, WA. You will develop in C/C++, Rust for RTOS, and interact with hardware interfaces, aiming to ensure robust flight software and reliable communications.

You will design software for satellite constellation, work with hardware teams, and mentor peers while advancing power management, telemetry, and autonomous control capabilities in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software language.
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded software in C, C++, Rust, or other languages in a real-time OS environment.
• Architect, design, and implement software for satellite constellation.
• Interface with devices/electronics using I2C, SPI, RS-422, RS-485, Ethernet, etc.
• Write device drivers and system applications for flight code and flight management.
• Collaborate with hardware teams to support board bring-up and integration testing.
