Job summary

Amazon Leo is building a space-based internet service and seeks engineers to develop embedded software for satellite systems. You will implement drivers and system apps in Rust, C, or C++ and contribute to Linux kernel/RTOS features, with a strong emphasis on reliability and security.

You will collaborate with hardware and software teams on board bring-up and integration, ensuring robust, scalable designs for space environments. A BS in CS or equivalent is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded software in Rust, C, C++, or other modern languages.
• Write device drivers and system applications for the various satellite systems and device interfaces like I2C, SPI, CAN.
• Develop Linux Kernel / RTOS features
• Develop security features for satellite systems.
• Work closely with other software and hardware teams to support board bring-up and integration.
