Job summary

Amazon Leo's In-Flight Connectivity Platform is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the aviation platform team. You will build software for the flight deck and cabin networks, spanning embedded, cloud, and security tooling, as the program scales toward a growing commercial fleet.

You will design core modules, OTA pipelines, and telemetry, while collaborating with avionics and networking experts. A hands-on approach and experience across Linux, C/C++, Python, and modern CI/CD are valued in

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong Linux-based development on real devices.
• Solid networking fundamentals and device-to-cloud experience.
• Experience with OTA/firmware update pipelines.
• Experience with containers and CI/testing practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement core platform modules for cabin network management and traffic prioritization.
• Build and maintain the OTA software lifecycle pipeline: signed updates, staged activation, rollback.
• Develop telemetry and fleet health monitoring infrastructure.
• Integrate software across multiple cabin hardware platforms with hardware abstraction.
• Build and execute unit, integration, and hardware-in-the-loop tests.
• Contribute to interface definitions and architecture decision records.
