Job summary
General Motors Corporation is seeking a Senior Engineer to own software integration and system-level verification for the MCU1 platform on the CCU AV Extension Board. You will integrate MCU1 software with the CCU compute platform, Thor SoCs, SSI, IVI, MCU3, IMU, networking, diagnostics, and vehicle-facing services, delivering test evidence for platform releases.
The role requires a bachelor’s in engineering/CS, 5+ years of embedded software integration, and strong cross-functional collaboration.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer/Software Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of embedded software integration and system verification.
- Hands-on testing of embedded systems with microcontrollers/SoCs/sensors.
- Ability to read and interpret requirements, interface specs, and test results.
- Experience with Python or scripting and with CI/CD processes.
Responsibilities
- Own software integration for MCU1 platform on the CCU AV Extension Board.
- Develop bench, hardware-in-the-loop, and system test evidence for releases.
- Coordinate across software, hardware, and safety teams to triage issues.
- Produce pass/fail evidence and traceability for release readiness.
