Job summary

General Motors seeks a Senior Engineer to own software integration and system-level verification for the MCU1 platform on the CCU AV Extension Board. You will drive bench, HIL, and system tests, coordinating with MCU software, Thor SoCs, safety island, IVI, and diagnostics teams.

The role requires 5+ years in embedded software integration and automotive test engineering, with strong communication and hands-on lab bring-up skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of embedded software integration, system verification, hardware-software integration, or automotive test engineering.
• Hands-on experience testing embedded systems with microcontrollers, SoCs, sensors, networking, diagnostics, or safety-related functions.
• Ability to read and interpret software requirements, interface documents, hardware-software interfaces, architecture descriptions, and test results.
• Experience developing structured test cases and analyzing failures using logs, traces, diagnostic data, and bench instrumentation.
• Programming or scripting in Python or a comparable language.
• Experience with version control, issue tracking, CI, and software build or release processes.

Responsibilities

• Own software integration and system-level verification for MCU1 platform on CCU AV Extension Board.
• Develop repeatable bench, hardware-in-the-loop, and system test evidence for platform releases.
• Collaborate across software, hardware, and safety teams to triage issues and drive closure.
