Job summary

Ford Model E is hiring a seasoned V&V leader to drive validation strategy for embedded software across EV platforms. You will mentor engineers, shape testing frameworks, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.

You will collaborate with software, systems, and product teams, manage test artifacts, and influence continuous improvement in a hybrid work setting. A senior engineering background is essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in embedded software Verification & Validation (V&V) or Software Quality Assurance.
• 3+ years in leadership or managerial role.
• Deep understanding of SDLC and methodologies (Agile, V-Model).
• Proficiency in Python and C/C++.
• Familiarity with automotive/embedded communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, SPI, I2C).
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving abilities with excellent communication skills.
• Master’s or PhD in a relevant engineering field.
• Deep knowledge of safety-critical standards such as ISO 26262, IEC 61508, or DO-178C.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, DOORS.
• Knowledge of embedded processor architectures and RTOS.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of V&V engineers; foster technical excellence and continuous learning.
• Define and implement comprehensive V&V strategies for embedded software (unit, integration, system, acceptance testing).
• Oversee design, development, and maintenance of automated test frameworks and infrastructure.
• Oversee test plans, cases, and scripts ensuring coverage of functional, non-functional, performance, and regression requirements.
• Collaborate with software development, systems engineering, and product management; report validation status to stakeholders.
