Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking a System Software Integration and Validation Engineer to design, develop and execute verification plans for automotive software. You will build complex test benches, automate validation, and work with cross-functional teams to ensure safety and performance across domains.

The role emphasizes automation, V&V leadership, and strong collaboration with hardware, software, and systems engineering to drive high-quality results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 6+ years in automotive or related field with system and software exposure.
• Experience with automotive testing instrumentation and tools.
• Familiarity with CAN/LIN/Ethernet and IDLs (DBC/ARXML) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain complex automotive system test benches focusing on automation.
• Develop verification and validation plans for automotive software systems.
• Create test cases and scripts to verify function, performance and safety.
• Develop automation scripts to improve testing efficiency and accuracy.
• Integrate hardware and software components for reliable test environments.
• Lead root-cause analysis and cross-functional problem solving to prevent regressions.
• Collaborate with software, controls and systems engineers to define V&V strategies.
• Present detailed verification reports to stakeholders and review warranty trends.
