Job summary

Fidus Systems seeks a Senior Embedded Software Designer to lead complex embedded software across communication, networking, and video applications. You will develop BSP-level software for embedded Linux, RTOS, and bare-metal systems, implement device drivers, and integrate with FPGA SoCs and hardware.

You will mentor teams, define architecture, and collaborate with customers to deliver high-quality, maintainable code while leveraging Yocto or PetaLinux workflows and modern development practices.

Qualifications

• 8+ years BSP-level software development in embedded Linux/RTOS/bare-metal
• 2+ years as a technical lead with leadership in project teams and architecture
• Expertise in embedded software design for communication, networking, and video applications
• Strong experience with Yocto or PetaLinux flows, kernels, and drivers

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to embedded software projects across communication, networking, and video apps
• Develop and maintain BSP-level software for embedded Linux, RTOS, and bare-metal
• Implement device drivers and manage kernel configurations; use Yocto/PetaLinux
• Design and debug software for FPGA SoCs; integrate with hardware
• Collaborate on HW/SW/FPGA integration using schematics and datasheets
• Mentor and lead project teams to ensure high-quality outcomes
• Work closely with customers to capture requirements and deliver value
• Stay current with emerging technologies and bring innovative solutions
