Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC seeks an experienced embedded software engineer with security expertise to architect and develop mission-critical firmware for satellite systems. You will work across ASIC firmware, RF subsystems, and real-time embedded software powering space operations.

You will design secure boot, hardware interfaces, and collaborate with hardware teams to bring new hardware from concept to secure bring-up and verification.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming experience in at least one language.
• 7+ years of leading design or architecture of complex systems.
• Mentor/tech lead experience.
• Proficiency in C/C++, Python, Java or Perl.

Responsibilities

• Lead software development for ASIC firmware, telemetry, power control, and autonomous capabilities with security-by-design.
• Develop secure Linux/RTOS software ensuring reliability under resource constraints.
• Lead security architecture including threat modeling and defensive measures.
• Build hardware interfaces with protocols like I2C, SPI, UART, JTAG, Ethernet with security controls.
• Collaborate with hardware teams to bring secure silicon from concept to bring-up and verification.
• Promote secure coding standards and security testing in development.
