Qualifications

• 7+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language.
• 7+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.
• Knowledge of C/C++, Python, Java or Perl.
• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with focus on system design and security.
• Deep expertise in secure embedded firmware development for RTOS/bare‑metal systems.
• Experience with debugging tools such as GDB for FPGA/prototype chips.
• Security‑aware software design including threat modeling and security reviews.
• Practical knowledge of penetration testing methodologies for embedded systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead software development for ASIC firmware, commanding systems, telemetry processing, power control, and interfaces.
• Design and implement secure software/firmware in Linux and RTOS environments.
• Drive security architecture for ASIC; conduct threat modeling and security reviews.
• Build hardware interfaces communicating via I2C, I3C, SPI, UART, USB, JTAG, Ethernet with security controls.
• Collaborate with hardware designers and customers to enable secure silicon and boards.
• Champion secure coding practices, reviews, and security testing for space systems.
• Collaborate with test engineers to integrate security validation in manufacturing and testing.
