Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC in Redmond, WA seeks a Firmware Embedded Engineer to deliver embedded firmware for ground networks and satellites within the Kuiper MAC-SW team. You will design, develop and test Kuiper-MAC FW components and drivers for real-time embedded environments.

Join a cross-functional team to define requirements, optimize performance, and bring up FW/HW interfaces with best practices and rigorous testing in a fast-paced space/wireless project.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience on new or existing systems.
• Experience programming with at least one language.

Responsibilities

• Define multi-dimensional performance requirements (e.g., MIPs, memory BW).
• Make performance and optimization trade-offs to meet end-to-end use case requirements.
• Build component use-cases/test-cases and debug code in Kuiper embedded environment.
• Profile and run code on RTOS and bare-metal environments.
• Contribute in defining services and functionalities delivered by FW subsystems.
• Define, document, test and debug FW-HW interfaces.
• Follow SW/FW best practices (clean architecture, refactoring).
