Job summary

Amazon Leo CT SW Team is seeking an embedded software engineer to design and implement software for Project Kuiper devices. You will collaborate with hardware, product, and operations teams to deliver reliable systems from requirements through deployment.

You should have strong experience in embedded development with C/C++, Rust, Linux/RTOS, and a track record of leading design and mentoring engineers across the full software lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded software for terrestrial devices within Amazon Leo system.
• Participate in all phases of SDLC including requirements gathering, design, code, test, and code/test coverage.
• Developing embedded software in assembly, C, C++, Rust or other languages
• Have experience with real-time embedded software philosophies and practices
• Have expertise with Linux and RTOS
• Review schematics, logic analyzer, and embedded software (bare-metal) trouble-shooting techniques.
