Job summary

Amazon LEO is seeking an Embedded Software Dev Engineer to design, implement, and deploy software for Customer Terminal devices within the LEO system. You will work across requirements, design, code, test, and product deployment in a highly collaborative team.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in C/C++, Rust, or Python, experience with Linux or RTOS, and hands-on embedded systems development. This on-site role in Redmond offers a comprehensive benefits package and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience.
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded software for Customer Terminal devices within the Amazon LEO system.
• Participate in all phases of SDLC including requirements gathering, design, code, test, and code/test coverage.
• Developing embedded software in C, C++, Rust, Python or other languages.
• Have experience with real‑time embedded software philosophies and practices.
• Have expertise with Linux and/or RTOS.
• Review schematics, logic analyzer, and embedded software trouble-shooting techniques.
